An Overview of Traumatic Attachments and Brain Development
The quality of early attachment is known to affect social relationships later in life. Therefore, it is conceivable that the level of opiate activity in a mother and her infant may not only affect behaviors during infancy, but may also affect the development of an individualis style of engaging and seeking out supportive relationships later in life.
